Distance Learning with New Media

This map developed from a conversation with a representative from IBM. He met with me to talk about how could we use "distance learning" to help the State of Florida's Department of Education. Initially we spoke about duplex video and then about the WorldWide Web. As we spoke I built this model which links real time situations (the class) with off line materials (digital publishing. Although large and somewhat complex, this map does a good job at showing links, weaknesses, and strenghts of networked information technologies.

There is a larger map linked to this small image.
