Overview and Background
- Brief History
Began via various conversations between MCNC, NCSA Filmmaking School, UNC-General Administration, the Mary Duke Biddle Foundation, the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, William R. Kenan, Jr. Institute for Engineering, Technology and Scienceand the Thomas S. Kenan III Institute for the Arts
- Objectives
- To establish relationships between the traditional arts and new technologies.
- To research and develop ideas to produce a business, marketing, and product planning document for the creation of a number of specific products and services designed to enhance the creative processes in the professional arts. They will also qualitatively enhance the activities involved in making motion pictures, commercials, video, CD-ROMs, World Wide Web exhibits, etc.
- To develop a budget and plan to support the product deliverables in Phase II.
- To identify market opportunities and to generate related revenue projections for each of the identified products and services.
